Valentine, you amaze me! (redux)

It was brought to my attention that last year's Valentine's maze was a little challenging for the younger set. With that in mind, I this year I made one a little more, little kid friendly.

The power of fail

Life is not a success only jouney.

So why is it that we have a "Fear of bad ideas"? Is it because we don't see the list of failed projects by successful people?

Recently, screenwriter Denis McGrath posted:

"I kind of look at it as -- it's my job to fail until I don't. You try something, fail, fail, fail, keep failing, and hopefully eventually you look at something and say, 'that's not a total failure' and then you nurture that little ember and follow it and hopefully you get somewhere."
Want to have a really good idea? Try having some bad ones first.

Rushing vs speed

This doodle idea comes straight from The Savvy Source article on Happier Mornings:

Here's the truth of the matter, the more you rush your kids, the slower they will be. As soon as you shriek, Hurry! Hurry! Hurry! We're going to be late! little spikes grow out of the bottoms of their feet. They go into slow motion. The machine all but stops. What's a parent to do?

How long vs how hard

This sentiment comes to us from Julie Cole's post on "Getting Organized for the New Year":

"The other problem with holding onto sentimental items is the longer you have them, the harder they are to part with."
As a mother of six and co-owner of Mabel’s Labels – Labels for the stuff kids lose!®, you can bet that Julie knows how to be organized!
